Like for example I use the usb update it loads but then after the os4 restarts it goes straight back to where it says options seven

For everyone that tried everything and was still stuck in death loop... BEFORE you initialize your ps4 and lose all of your data, hardwire it to your internet box with an Ethernet cord, and try updating the software via LAN... If that still doesn’t work, and you do have to initialize your ps4 and you’re STILL stuck in the loop, try the update software option while hardwired AGAIN and see if that works.
I was stuck in death loop on my daughters ps4 for 4 days, and I exhausted every option (to the point where only 2 options were available (( 3- update software & 7- Initialize ps4 reinstall and every other option wasn’t able to be selected), and once I hardwired and updated the software, her ps4 turned on normally again and everything booted up fine. Hope this works!

So ya what I’ve found out is if it doesn’t fix it’s either your hard drive or your motherboard so if my 2t don’t work I’ll have to send it back and if that’s the case I’m just getting a fucking ps5

Unplug the power cord for a couple minutes and plug it back in it worked for me
