Affordable Holiday Gift Guide: $35 and Under | Ingrid Nilsen

There are SO many gift options to choose from right now and it can definitely get overwhelming trying to figure out what to get while also honoring your budget. In my experience, I’ve found that “affordable gift guide” lists often feature items that are random and don’t feel personal. To make this process a little easier for you, I put together a selection of unique, thoughtful and sustainable gifts that are all $35 and under. I’ve had first-hand experience with all of these recommendations, so I *know* they’re awesome and stand the test of time. It can be easy to get caught up in the allure of fancy presents (I’ve been there!), but if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years it’s that giving a great gift isn’t about the money you spend, it’s about the time and care you put into it. I hope this guide inspires you with ideas for the people in your life, but most of all, I hope it reminds you that you don’t need a lot to make someone feel seen, appreciated and loved.

Thank you so much for the Like a Mother book recommendation. I actually read it right after a miscarriage. It was super hard to read but I pushed on and really enjoyed the read. I'm now pregnant again and am currently almost 12 weeks and I'm so glad that I read this book. Thank you again for the recommendation. I don’t know what the specific shop was called, because my parents paid for the gift I personalized, but if you are ALSO a reader, look up “book purses” or “book cover purses” on Etsy. I was completely OBSESSED with a specific edition of Alice in Wonderland another person showed on here last year, because the book was hot pink and gold, with a bunch of trippy lil illustrations on it. When mom and I discovered this seller (it’s run by a woman, if you support women owned business) she takes whatever cover you select, and gives you a little form to choose handles, feet, charms (if you want them) and clasp style. It’s a bit pricey, but I love mine! She also gave me an extra chain in the other color that I was looking at, because I wasn’t sure which chain I wanted. Don’t know if she does it for everyone, but I thought it was helpful! 😃👜
