The hot hatch market was probably the most competitive around 2013. You had the Ford Focus ST make its debut in the United States, the dominant Volkswagen Golf GTI, and the wild MazdaSpeed 3. The Mazdaspeed 3 was always known as the less sophisticated but wild experience compared to the others. It made more power at the time and was notorious for one thing: torque steer. With all of the turbocharged horsepower going to the front wheels the car was already a handful. So what happens when you slap on a Garrett GTX Gen II 3071R and turn it up? I own a 2010 Celestial Blue Mazdaspeed 3 with a few bolt-ons and a tune and it's a fine daily driven car at 300whp. Torque steer isn't really an issue once you get ahold of it's power.

Ive wanted a speed 3 since I got my license in highschool, understandably my parents said no to that idea. Now that ll be out of college soon Ive got my eyes out on a veloster N. It seems like what the MS3 would of become given mazdas luxury/sport route, Rowdy but refined.

I own a 2011 Speed 3 and I just love how raw and brutal torque is in this thing... I owned a Mitsubishi GTO Twinturbo and an Airtrek Turbo before my speed3, and I got hooked on the speed immediately after trying a buddy's stock one, and another with 350whp .. torque steer = fun ! haha

I got a 2011 MS3 recently, and ideally feel in love with the first drive. It's a very involved fun car to drive, that just puts a grin on your face. I can't wait to upgrade the turbo, down pipe, and intercooler. About 330 whp is all im looking for.

I love my mazdaspeed 3. Owned my first and got rid of it but couldn’t get over it. The car I got into after wasn’t as fun. After 10 months I found a 13’ down the street and I went and traded the car in for it. Had this one since 2015 and I’ll never get rid of it. It’s like that one girl you can just never get over... Lol

Just bought my first one almost identical to the one in the video, I went from not learning how to drive stick at all and this is my first car I'm learning on! They totally should be back Mazdaspeed, if they make it anything like these models they'll just rise to the top again!
