Electric drift trike top speed? $100 electric trike!

I rebuilt an electric drift trike I picked up cheap ($100) since it had some issues. It has a small motor on it, but frame for small adults so a decent motorized drift trike. May swap axles in future and really crank up the horsepower with some mods for a performance build later on. This was only 250 watt, so I'm looking over that 2000 watt or 3000 watt electric motor for a mini bike and go kart to play with!

Top speed is only 20+ MPH with the 250 watt electric motor for kids in the seat. Less for a full grown 6' tall homeboy. A competition build might want to up that wattage by a bit lol! Not bad for a very simple drift trike. You can tell by the custom frame paired with a bunch of razor and huffy aftermarket drift trike parts that it went together quickly and was the best fun on a drifting sleeve outfitted motorized toy you could ask for!

First drift trike build with motor I've gotten in, but may not be the last. Engine, or electric! Some parts came from a razor, some parts came from huffy but in the end it's an electric drift trike that's a load of fun to build the last parts and ride!

😂 I know exactly where that lot is! Too funny, did you ever do anything bigger with this? (If you ever run kart wheels and need drift sleeves lmk, I’m in St Patrick and have a huge stick of 10” green pipe (might be 11”, I believe 6” kart tires fit either way the stick is a couple grand 😮 and it’s better than pvc and I have probably 15+ feet left yet! FYI I’m talking $free.ninety nine 😂)

Do you know if they sell any parts to make the shaft into a freewheel? I was wondering how to make thr rear a freewheeler.

I was thinking about using the hoverboard motors to make a drift trike, would it work?

works better if you put the motor on the front wheel (gives you more control over the drift). 500W motor with 48b battery works good (i'm 199 pounds). But I will eventually mod this and add a 2, 000w motor (the 500w motor gets too hot because it is only meant to take 36v).
