I used restore and finish and feed n wax on my toddlers antique wood bed that looked similar and it blew me away how well it worked!! And so so easy 😊

You can also use your lazy Susan to hold flower pots 😁 just be sure and put a round water tray under your plants. 😀

You have such a cute channel. I’ve watched several of your videos ❤ I thought I’d share what I’ve learned over the years with old furniture since your new secretary dresser looks like a pretty nice piece. The finish on it looks absolutely beautiful. Old finishes are very hard to replicate as they were handmade resins. Over time, the finish will polymerize and oxidize creating a really velvety smooth and hard surface which will protect the wood underneath. If a high end antique piece of furniture is stripped of its original finish, it will automatically decrease its value by 50% or more. (You might want to check for a maker’s mark before stripping it in case it’s an expensive piece.) Also, keep in mind that oven cleaner will be really damaging to the wood underneath. Right now your dresser has a patina that is so authentic and true. It’s rich and protected and absolutely stunning if you ask me. Remember that the raw wood look and oven cleaner stripping is a trend. I guarantee it will go out of style. One thing that will always endure is quality craftsmanship and authenticity. Also, don’t be afraid to mix woods. It’s so much more interesting and authentic. You definitely have the design sense to make it work and I think you’ll like the outcome! You’re so awesome. Love love your home and everything you do!!! Oh and the top of the dresser looked worn to me… I like to just use a dark wood wax. Super easy fix. You just rub it in, wait 5 min, then buff. It will look just like the rest of the dresser.

I'm just seeing this :-) The apron reminds me more of a pinafore 🙂 Also, the "metal locker" might have been sold as a kitchen cabinet---that could be ordered from a catalog, or directly from a store. I have one that was my Mom's in the 1950s, and found an older one from the 1940s. I have them in my kitchen to store canned goods.

Maybe a white wash with chalk paint . Lots of videos on white wash. It would tone down the orange but for now it looks great. Ps: gorgeous piece and great haul 👏👍😎🇨🇦🙋‍♀️❤️

The oven cleaner can strip your piece down all the way. I've done it many times. Just leave it on 30 minutes, scrub with a brush and hose it down with the jet setting and it will be raw wood.

For the secretary, use Amy Howard’s gel stain and her mind your business bees wax to seal it. Her products are amazing.

Totally love every piece you found! 🥰I have my Grandma's really old secretary desk and have wanted to redo it cause it's so battered but for now, I too have too many other projects going so I live with it's shabbiness.☺️

Nice finds! Plz be careful with oven cleaner it can turn wood black! Do your research but can't wait to see it done!

Oh boy. We recently inherited my now late MIL's house and there's so much stuff in it we have no idea what to do with it. Thinking about hauling it into the front yard under a tarp, slapping an "estate sale no reasonable offer refused" sign on it and getting on with life.

Oh no, dont do the oven cleaner. That piece is pretty nice still. The top needs a little light sanding and rejuvenating oil. Very cute piece. Warm woods are coming back in style and greys are out.

If anyone finds old, very worn flat rubber soccer balls at any estate sales/garage sales, let me know.

I'm looking for old late 1960s, 1970s full size rubber soccer balls that were used in soccer games during that time.
Many, if found today, would very worn, beat up and flat. This is OK by me!

I would pay anywhere from $100 up to $500 for some of the oldest more worn rubber soccer balls that could be found. The big issue is dry rot unfortunately. If the ball is hard, stiff, firm, dry cracking, peeling, flaking, then it has dry rot. If it very soft and mushy when flat, then it does NOT have dry rot.

wanted to watch this to the end. However, I did not want to fight to hear you talking over the music. Why?
