Victor, thanks for taking time to do these videos which are very well-done and educational. Penang is very unique & easy to love! You are so real and affable…I’ve watched a lot of cooking videos and not a single host ever declares of their finished dish that ‘it doesn’t work for me’. You are the only one who dares to be truthful and teach your viewers how to correct the dish. For that, total respect, man! Best wishes to you from Singapore 🌈🌸🌈🌺🌈🌸🌈🌺

Bad luck about the eggplant dish but full respect for you admitting it and naming up where you felt you’d gone wrong. Both dishes looked great anyway. Georgetown looks like such an interesting place to visit too.

Victor, I forgot to share about the eggplants 🍆. It's a trick that I learnt from a chef.
Make your strips thicker. Steam the eggplants. That way you have control of the doneness. Make the sauce and toss in the eggplants for 2 minutes before serving. Try it and I love this dish too.
ps: I add a hint of vinegar to sauce.
Love your clips.

I’m sorry but I am one of those low life’s who love my eggplant mushy if seasoned right🤣Especially when cooking those little round eggplants 🍆 will try your recipe and take your suggestions about the bean paste!

I learnt how to cook your second dish, soya sauce chicken with ginger from my mum many years ago. It's a typical Hokkien dish I loved to eat during the 60s and early seventies.

The first part of your heritage tour you didn't mention the street name, looking at the images I believe it to be Acheh street, near my house I used to live many years ago. There is a popular Art Gallery located there.

I don't know about now, Penang was lovely place to live and grow up during the 60s and 70s, a very safe place to live, a high standard of education and I have all my family members living with me then.

Enjoy your trip to Penang by strolling down your memory lanes.

😂😂 I’ve balls’d up a few recipes, then you learn for next time and that the recipe you followed didn’t explain enough.
This video is like a double hit, cook this then look around and cry over what you're missing. Seeing pictures and videos of Nepal made me want to go there so I’ve got my GB passport. Malaysia is also another country I need to get to 👍 although I’m not sure about learning the language as I’m learning Nepali and that’s hard enough for a Gora गोरा
