Sometimes you just have to put the conclusion up front: the iPhone 8 is a successful execution of a familiar idea. It’s as iterative an upgrade as you can get, and with a bleeding-edge iPhone X on the horizon and scads of Android phones that have had similar features for years, the iPhone 8 doesn’t seem likely to shine in the annals of iPhone history. But if you’ve got a lot invested in Apple’s ecosystem (and you don’t want to spend a thousand dollars on the iPhone X) well, the iPhone 8 was made for you. I had the iPhone 8 then use the iPhone X for a bit but ended up going back to my 8 simply because I love the classic design. For some reason I always find iPhone 8 to be more pretty than the X and I just like tochID

I actually prefer IPS LCD on the iPhone. OLED screens use pulse width modulation to dim the screen, which is basically turn on and off the pixel in quick succession. It's OK for manufacurers to use PWM but the problem is that the OLED screen from Samsung typically uses 240Hz as its pwm frequency. Sensitive users including myself are getting a lot trouble including headache and eye fatigue.
