Dutch children face mental health crisis during the pandemic

Dutch children were once ranked among some of the world's happiest, but since the coronavirus pandemic, an increasing number are suffering from depression.
Mental health experts say they have seen a sharp rise in calls to suicide prevention helplines.

I have two Dutch friends age 13 and 16. Even during a lockdown I talk to them and message them on Snapchat every day to keep them energized and happy

My 13 and 15 years old daughters like this time. They even prefer to have online lessons. We have most of the time friends from their class who are coming over and and stay overnight and they go together online to the lessons. They skate a lot, game on the Switch, watching Netflix, bake cakes or jump on the trampoline after the home work. We are Dutch.
