I got a Tenth Doctor's sonic screwdriver around 5-6 years ago before this video, and it didn't come with the pen or writable end or anything like that. I bought it in the U.S. for $20.
Forgot to mention: The end came off but nothing was there. Plus I lost the sonic screwdriver entirely within the first month of having it. I barely used it too.

I wish they had stuck with the one sound effect for the 10th doctor's screwdriver. having those other four sounds sorta ruins it for me.

the uv light looks blue on screen even though i know the light is purple

I have a version of the "Partners in Crime" sonic set. With the classic era doctor who logo, and blue box color instead of red. The tenth doctor's sonic has the removable ink nib part if one would ever want to exchange it for writing hidden messages, but it's the normal ink nib that came, and worst possible thing happened:the sonic has a uv light, so it's useless. It's the only version of the sonic I have, and hopefully the only version-unless Character options pulls through with the much needed updates to the toys in wave 5. The Sonic Pen, however, is the same as it was in the old version of the set. Emitter lights up blue, and button is in the exact same place. The removable nib had to be glued down, as it became very easy to fall off. Still, a very good set nonetheless.
