Love it! Great way to get us all stoked for the next video! Thanks for sharing a bit of your history with the Squire Classic Vibe. It made me think of the guitar that got me into all of this - in a good way, for once 😂 Rock on, brother Ted!

Ive a 60s 2015 3 tone SB strat Classic Vibe. It is amazing. One of my faves. Ive got my eyes on your model for a while and the hank marvin red one but with gold hardware. Id put gold anodyzed pickhuard on the white. Beautiful.

I got one of these 6 months ago, after getting a CV 60s JM which turned out to be the best JM I've ever had. I've been playing since 1964, and I used to play an orange '66 JM but now I have a 2006 Classic Player JM and the CV.

The Strat is kind of a dog. It's way too heavy, the neck simply can't be adjusted quite right, the 2 color sunburst is barely two colors, the brown is so dark, and the poly fish on the neck seems to be 1/8 of an inch thick. It actually sounds fine, if I can force myself to pick it up, but plainly, the QC on this one got skipped. My fault for buying it online, but that's how I got the great Jazzmaster.

Play it in person before buying, if you can.

Fun preview to your upcoming comparison video! For myself, there is not much to choose sound-wise between my Tease ST-1 and the 60s Classic Vibes. The neck profiles are different. (Right now I'm prefering the 9.5" Squier rdius compared to the 12" Tease radius.)

Yes your Strat does have a lite pink color on my screen. Rock On! 👍🎸

I didn't understand the comments about being afraid to get the Olympic White Strat out of the closet and nine grand babies. I have an Olympic White American Standard Strat I bought in 1999. It doesn't get much use now, but it's a fairly decent guitar. I have tried some Classic Vibe guitars a few years ago and there were issues with all of them. I didn't try a Strat though so should give one a try. The spelling is "SQUIER" by the way (it's on the headstock). I'm not sure if it makes any difference how it's spelled when people are searching, but thought I'd mention it just in case.

Just curious, why don't you have the Olympic White Strat anymore?

I have this one as well. I searched a while to find one that showed a nice grain through the finish, and finally found a used one at GC. Called and had them describe it to me prior to shipping said they saw no blemishes at all. When it arrived they had just thrown the trem arm in the box loose, and there were a couple dings in the top. If I'm REALLY bored sometime, I might change the hardware to gold, a la Mary Kaye.

I just got to a 60s classic vibe. Can't wait to start learning to play on it. Tease has the st-2 model right, only difference is the pickups? Does tease make a higher end st model? 9lbs for the vibe, wow. What does the tease weight? The tease uses the stainless steel frets, that's a nice upgrade.

Cool man nice Strat! My only quarm with Fender is their pricing. Squire, Mexican or American, )I have worked on them all, and I have yet to see anything, on any of these, that justify the price tag! They all need the exact same work and in some cases upgrades that a guitar 1/3 the price needs. I have stopped buying the brand because I just don't like what I'm getting for what I'm paying. But hey like I always say, name on the headstock aside, if you like it, it's a good guitar... period!
Rock on Ted!

I just checked out the squire paranormal tele but it doesn’t come with CTS pot or stainless steel frets those nickel frets will get grooves in them pretty fast I will stick with the tease guitar don’t have to worry about all that.

I played lots and lots of CV all from China and all had perfect frets, no sharp extrusions/perfect height and the nuts are cut perfectly. All my Mexican Strats had brutally sharp frets including the Player series ( the rounding in player 2 forced them to smooth out the frets). I don’t trust the new Indonesian CV. The Chinese ones all had Alder bodies and Rosewood vs whatever ugly board they went to.
