On-Board an American MD-80 (BUR-DFW)

Recorded in 1990, en-route from BUR to DFW, for the eventual destination of MIA. Which may or may not be a clue for the mega-upload tomorrow morning :)

During the editing process, I thought that the sounds would be great for use in a Flight Sim video. So, I called Jon Cecil (Jon5700) & brought the concept up to him. He was already looking to make an MD-80 vid in the near future...so he sped things up and made an all new FSX video, using the audio from this video.

His amazing video is located here:

His main channel is located here, make sure to hit that subscribe button:

Speaking of FSX, if you dig the Delta DC-9 @ 6:39, and want to fly her on the sim:

I hope you enjoy the video, thanks for watching!

You're welcome & thank you so much for the kind words!

It's all about the passion of flight, it's a beautiful thing, even though our families may not understand it :)

I remember planespotting in 1992 and seeing that exact same 707 parked across from the terminal at one of the hangars...

0:27, DC-8s can fly into Burbank? That airport has such a short runway

Back when the little tower on top of the terminal at BUR was actually the working control tower

And landing on 13R for a change. I just landed on that runway in September. All that open space you see during the last 2 miles of the approach? Gone. All built up now.

I hope that one day my videos are able to elicit the kind of nostalgia that this video provokes.  Memories like "Hey, remember when American flew BUR-DFW?"  Of course, in the future, it will be "Remember when the MD-80s were still flying?" and "Remember US Airways?"

Because some younger viewers may not have known that fact.

Deal with what? Take a valium sir. All I said was this was "back when AA WAS top dog." I was clearly referencing that AA is no longer number 1.
