I love this game as a proof of concept. It really was incredible for its time with such a small selection of rpg's. I also thought beyond the pointless random encounters that the dungeons were really well made for the style and pacing of leveling up all your guys. It was trying to add too much open world elements that made it sort of gimmicky in retrospect. If it were brought up to date it would definitely be an amazing game

It has a cool concept, but definitely seems like one of those games you enjoy remembering/talking about more than actually playing.

I love this game. Getting Hanzo to join you was tough

Not sure if you'd like it, but I'd recommend trying Uncharted Waters New Horizons( SNES or Genesis). It's a really interested KOEI game that's like a 1500's world explorer sim with 6 different characters with their own stories to choose from. It feels really slim in certain areas (most cities look the same) but there is something about sailing your boat or fleet, finding new ports and countries etc that's enjoyable. Also on Wii virtual store.

SNESdrunk, you bring lots of games which I've never heard of to my attention, and you do a great job of making it interesting. I really appreciate your videos and your style. Thanks!

This was one of the SNES games I actually had my parents buy me and still have to this day. I thought it was a bit of a crime to not mention the overhead strategy bits which I thought were the most fun part of the game.

I still have my childhood copy of this game. I love it for its random wackiness and I always loved the battle mini game when taking over provinces. There were social sim aspects, random battles, mini games, etc. This game was ahead of it's time, even though it was riddled with mistakes like poor repetitive textures, music, dungeon design, etc. but this was a port so it makes sense.

Hey dude, I warned ya! Inindo is unique, but it is tedious. Thanks for doing the review man, guess I owe you a bottle of Jameson now.

Yeah, it's too bad the graphics were so awful here, but I think a lot of what kept people from spending a lot of time with this game was a difficulty. This game tends towards being quite hard, especially early on, where pretty much anytime you get attacked by another named character that you couldn't run away from was almost certain defeat. It sucks, and it's too bad, because as you say, this showed a lot of really cool ideas. It just wasn't packaged very well. Like the Uncharted Waters series, a sequel could've been a hidden gem.

Nice review! I used to play this when I was younger. I remember enjoying it a lot. Every time I try and play it now, I get bored.

This is one of those games that Ive always saw at my local video store and considered renting, but then forgot about it until now. Thanks for doing a video on this game!

This is so nostalgic, i remember grinding the crap out of this game and recruiting people. Never finished it since you have to play for hours and at the time i encounter other better looking rpgs which made me stop playing it. But its a fun game once you get used to it, the grind aspect obviously resembles 7th saga but i also find 7th saga a better game.

I was amazed at how ahead of it's time this game was.
Sadly, they weren't implemented as greatly.

Anyone interested in games with unique idea, give it a shot.

I really admire the amibitious scope this game had, especially for an snes game. Unfortunately I also really wish I had the focus and patience necessary to give it a fair try, but I already know my limits lol.

KOEI should remake "Inindo Way Of The Ninja", but this time, include Hokkaido, Sakhalin, Ryukyu, Okinawa, and Kyril Islands as part of the world map.

While Hokkaido was included in many Nobunaga's Ambition games, notably the Kakizaki clan, it was never included on Inindo or Nobunaga's Ambition "Lord of Darkness".

I have to confess as an Iga Ninja I for whatever reason loved the Koga Negoro and Fuma ninjas they looked badass and I would normally well they have crappy power..Igas get up to 6 per lvl up and Koga Fuma etc get only 4 buuut you can save before a level so yeah guys I'd literally have a steroid Koga ninja cuz I'd make sure he'd always get 4 power.Alot of work but badass having literal hero like stats in a Koga And Negoro . Mochizuki and Hiryuu we're my party pals numerous games. If u do the reset trick u can really do this and make a amateur ninja almost as good as your hero. Honestly it's pretty fun I always thought the mask looked better on Ninja imo. But yes alot of devotion tracking down my team I wanted doing the reset trick etc. I'd spend hours running around doing nothing going after people who attacked me or missions this game for it's time although not great graphics had alot of freedom. But Only did reset trick after legitimately beating the game normally. To do this u must get these characters at level 7 as early as possible to control there level ups..obsessed much yeah I guess lol Hope someone likes my story. I'd pay money 50 bucks straight up for a mobile remake of this I can only imagine how much this game would kick ass updated to some capacity

Nice review! this game's one of my favorites on the SNES alongside Uncharted Waters and it's nice to see someone talking about it.
