I was P.O. on that exact beat or location in da 90s. It was rough then with da projects that used to be there, now its just total chaos! New command and infrastructure is needed. too many guns and idiots on da streets of Chicago! Sad!!!

I see people are making jokes about the violence in Chicago. It's not funny. Have some compassion. Not everyone in Chicago is a violent, gangbanging, drug-dealer. Innocent people are being injured and killed (including law enforcement). So when you post heartless, sarcastic jokes it only makes things worse. I know some of you won't stop. But please remember death can happen to any of us; no matter where you live, how much money you have or the color of your skin. Also, this type of violence isn't happening only in Chicago. Sadly, it's happening in many states. So if you're really concerned, just for people and good cops who actually care about saving lives.
