A lot of people use cushioned shoes or "cool" sport shoes for casual wear. The point is that you ofc can and should use specific sport shoes, but keep in mind that it's a "sport shoe" and not meant for casual walking everyday. This guy wants us to see how many uses cushions for getting groceries which doesn't do well for ya feet in the long run.

You generally talk about shoes for.lifting... what do you think about shoes for running?

Barefoot isn't for everyone, though. It just isn't. For some of us, a low heel is necessary to prevent plantar fasciitis or peroneal strain.

I noticed this! My husband always wants me to get the thicker shoe. But I feel more stable in the thinner sole. Nice to know, I'm on the right track

this is a basketball shoe... and the gt jump only has a 6mm drop. basketball shoes in general don't have a high heel drop but they will have a high stack height as the cushion is needed for impact protection

Here’s one problem with zero drop, foams in midsoles compress with use, so you’re going to have a negative drop after a little while of use due to repeated heel impacts compressing the midsole foam, now if you’re a midfoot striker then this doesn’t apply

The GT Jump 2 is made for basketball though. That much cushioning is probably suitable for the sport's movements

Bwahahaaha!!
If this were true, top track & field athletes would train in & wear wide toe box, flat-soled, zero-drop shoes...!!

If only wide toe shoes weren’t all sized for hobbits.

Do NOT listen to this man regarding shoe advice. He has literally absolutely no idea what he’s talking about.

What kinda heel drop shoe would you recommend for someone with overarched foot and wants to do squat?

I have tried barefoot and medium heel drop shoes for squats and I think I prefer barefoot. But the doctor tells me to use padded shoes that support my overarched foot.

Thanks.

I’ll help people who came to this comment section that she was made for adult men who are above the weight of 250 pounds. They are usually also above the height of above 6 foot and 7 inches. This is not a shoe for a child. This is not a shoe for a small man. This is not a woman shoes. This shoe was made for explosive Tall heavy athletes for some context. Most people reading this do not need to buy that. It’s $$180. I love your content, but make it complete.

What if you have really high arches? I do and they’re constantly tight and painful :(

The gt jump is a basketball shoe lmao. Of course it’s going to have a lot of cushion. No one is playing basketball in 0 drop shoes unless you’re trying to get patellar tendinopathy or shin splints.
