Doctors at the ER told me I came within 2 mm of dieing when the rib my boyfriend fractured after hitting me came that close to puncturing my heart. I will never forget that Doctor, he was so angry, so upset, more so than me. I was so broken down, I came to believe I deserved the beatings. His reaction made me wake up and realize if I didn't listen to him I would die. I was too badly I jured, and in the state of shock to remember his name, but I will never ever forget him. Thank you to that wonderful Doctor he saved my life. Happy to report I am married to a kind gentle loving man. Going on 40 yrs now.

Dear parents, divorced daughter is much better than a dead daughter in coffin....take her back....that's your daughter. It took you 9 months to make her...18 years to raise her....don't let an insecure man end that beautiful creation of yours....

My daughter was being abused by her high-school boyfriend. No one knew. Until one night we were all leaving in the truck when a car pulled up and blocked us in the driveway. A girlfriend ran up to the truck window and said, "if you don't tell your parents I will!" We had no idea of what was going on. She told us that he had been hitting and choking her with a necklace he bought her with his name on it. When I found out he was already eighteen I got a hold of him on the phone. When I told him that he was to show me how he treated my daughter, and that I was ready to meet at that very moment, he said I could call his dad. I said I would love to tell him what kind of a coward he raised and if he wanted to meet me with his son he was more than welcome. I was Ranger trained in the US army and I am here to tell you that it doesn't matter if you are or not. Defend your child like the drive home from the hospital after they were born. Or they could wind up there again. Put fear in anyone who doesn't treat them with the respect you raised them to treat you and themselves with! God bless

Ladies and gentlemen, if ANYONE lays a hand on you ONE time, LEAVE THEM.

The state of Tennessee just passed a law mandating those who work in beauty salons, spas, and barber shops, be trained to recognize domestic violence in their clientele. This is an excellent start.

My ex took steroid injections and he was already incredibly abusive but after he began using them the abuse changed from black eyes to SA and on two occasions an attempt on my life. He isolated me, ruined my self-esteem, blamed me for the abuse, and essentially held me, hostage, by threatening to end the lives of my family. My heart breaks for her and her family. But for the grace of God, there go I. Please if you see something SAY SOMETHING you may save a life🙏💕

I remember watching an interview with a homicide detective and he said " if you are ever in a situation where someone is trying to hurt/kidnapped you, FIGHT, SCREAM AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS do whatever you can to prevent the perpetrator from taking you to an isolated area, because your chances of survival are less likely once he takes you to an isolated place.
And if you know you are not going to make it, FIGHT, scratch and make sure you get his DNA, put your finger prints on

I'm Brazilian, and this case broke huge in the media at that time! I was literally horrified by this terrible murder! What really impressed me the most was how the criminal actually reacted afterwards, when he was interrogated by the police. The way he'd talk to the investigators was nasty. He pretended to be shocked with the incident as if he had nothing to do with that, he acted out as he was innocent. Son of a bitch!

How he didn’t get a life sentence is beyond me. How can you commit such a crime and only get 30 years?! Disgusting

It’s a shame no one stumbled upon them before they made it to the apartment. It’s actually crazy that he managed to chase her around and terrorize her with nobody noticing 😢. Poor lady what a monster he was!!

If he did it once, he’s gonna do it multiple more times, there’s no
“I won’t do again”
“im sorry babe I wasn’t myself”
or anything in between.
Violence is never unintentional. It comes from somewhere and gonna continue coming.
Raise your voice and take action before it’s too late to even move.

She was a beautiful lady and I cannot get that image out of my head when she's running away from him. You cannot ever live with a controlling, aggressive, violent, jealous man please leave he will never change. It is not your fault, don't ever blame yourself. I pray to God that women grow positive and strong to walk away, you deserve so much better. I tell my son everyday treat every woman with respect like you would want your mother, , sister and daughter to be treated.

Some don't even realize that they are being abused. I just realized it myself. 20 years being together, 7 years being married. He disrespects me every day. He breaks my heart. He hates me, so he makes me suffer. Sometimes the ones you think that love you, just make you their outlet for their own pain.
I realize what he is doing to me and I'm making plans to leave

The fact that he handled her dead body more delicately and gently really contrasts the violence before. It's like he respects her more now that she's dead than when she was alive.

I was married to a steroid abuser and I was terrified of him. The levels of violence still scares me to this day. Thankfully I got divorced but in my heart I know if I ever saw him again I would instantly be paralyzed by fear. Wishing everyone health and happiness 🌹

If you are in a toxic relationship, always seek help. Leave embarrassment and shame aside. Life is more important.

When something like that happens everybody comes out crying and saying how much they loved her but when she was alive and seeking for help no one did it. Rest in peace beautiful girl 😢
