i listen to self-improvement books too. It's actually super motivating and I don't know why others would look down on it. There's a reason those books sell really well. Everybody wants to figure their lives out and get to some place better.

Marla, I loved this so much! I’m 23, I’ve been married for almost 9 months now, I’m no longer a college athlete, and this is soooo relatable! You don’t even realize how fast your body changes once you “become a woman” and hit that second puberty, so I’m right there with you just trying to make sure I maintain a healthy weight and strength! This was a very encouraging video and I’m thankful for your vulnerability :) I definitely want to feel healthy and strong so when I get to be a mom one day I can already know great healthy recipes and have the energy and body to care for my kiddos the way I need to! The best thing you can do is just start, I’m so proud of you from one young wife to another! Love you and praying for you ❤️❤️

I also started a strength training fitness journey as a total newbie in January!! Getting on workout tik tok helped me learn so much about form and what muscles each exercise targets. I have started by doing the most simple but effective exercises that I actually enjoy and not doing exercises that I don’t enjoy (like burpees). The biggest thing that has helped me get my butt to the gym even when I don’t want to is just putting on music to sing and dance to as I get dressed and get out the door!

I'm in college and I have days where I don't eat healthy and eat probably too much and it can be so hard for me not to be hard on myself. I know that every day is a new day though, and some good days of walking a ton are better than none! I love you cutie🥰

this is so motivating to watch! something i want to recommend is trying a class-focused gym. i do crossfit, which sounded intimidating to me at first but its very beginner friendly and has made me feel so strong (and gorgina)!

There’s nothing wrong with self help- you are your self help and so is your community. Listening to others perspectives takes us out our own bubble for a moment and opens us up to spark different ways of thinking about the same things! Sometimes we end up with the exact same methods and ideas! ❤As long as you continue aligning with yourself and your values a self help book doesn’t harm anyone and you shouldn’t be embarrassed! It’s just a discussion in a book!! ❤

I was about to suggest in the comments for you to listen to Atomic Habits, but then you said right after that you've been reading it! I'm currently reading it for my one class in college and I LOVE it. It's been super motivating to read my Bible and take my vitamins. I would genuinely suggest that book to anyone. Don't be ashamed, be proud :))))

hey girly if you’re not doing cardio i would recommended wearing flat sole shoes like converse!! its helps with stability for lifting weights :)

pls don’t take this as hate! i’m loving watching your videos just couldn’t get this off my mind afterwards.
be careful what you judge yourself for! especially on social media/around others.
about the self help book- you could be communicating to your audience that they should judge people who read self help books/should be ashamed about it if they read them. i’m sure that’s not what you want/meant to do just something to keep in mind for the future.

Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane isn’t easy to find, and now i understand why. the things it reveals about energy and attraction? insane. i thought i was just “unlucky” until i applied what it teaches. within weeks, my finances flipped, and i stopped chasing things—now they come to me
