My wife passed in 2006 Amos. She went to one of yours and Norah Jones concerts here in Dallas in 2004 I believe. She came back from that concert and was mesmerized by your talent and spirit. She told me you gave her a vision of what our son would be like. Hes 15 now and I play your music for him and always cherish that connection that you never even knew existed but it does. Appreciate the good vibes and the good music. Keep it coming brother.

It's borderline criminal he isn't more popular

Amos mentioned on Facebook that he had written this song about his grandmother's passing. And that it was emotionally draining to record this. He had to take several weeks off afterwards because of the emotional toll it had

You’re a beautiful, empathic soul. I introduced my husband to you in 2014 and he adored your music. You could make him tear up. We saw you at Red Rocks, Augusta Georgia and Melbourne Florida. His ringtone for me was Sweet Pea. He passed away at a young age October 2021. This is the first time I have been able to listen to your music since he passed. It’s bittersweet but it feels like home. Thank you for enriching our lives. 💕

Sent this song to a friend, whose step brother drank himself to death yesterday. So much sadness. This song is so poignant. Thank you Amos Lee

I’m 53

I was flicking through my 27 year old sons Spotify playlists and I see this song.

Firstly - I was shocked to think my son had Amos Lee in his Spotify lists

Secondly - I’d never heard of this song …

So I clicked … and by the end of the song I was downloading Spotify onto my iPhone and starting my own playlist

Thanks son … well played son … well played indeed

Amos Lee … this is a great piece of emotional delicious …

Well played Amos
Well played indeed

Been following Amos Lee since 2005. I don't need to say how deep and inspiring his music is, it speaks for itself. Always wondered why he isn't more popular but then again probably a good thing. Main stream music has no heart I find.

Thanks for all the amazing music and getting me through some extremely difficult times!

Breathtakingly beautiful!❤ I know they say this song was written for his grandma. I can relate to it as it takes me back to the day me and my little sister held hands as our Daddy took his last breath. Jan 17 2012 our whole lives changed. Such a beautiful song of a memory forever embedded into our minds.

My grandma is in hospice right now, and I can't be there since I am far away. I'm just letting this song wash over me...

My grandpa passed away this summer. Listening to this, it still hurts like it was yesterday. Christmas won’t be the same.

Sitting here sobbing. I sat alone holding my Papa's hand as he died in 1999. All these years later and gosh darn poop Amos, you have me here sobbing. Thank you thank you thank you for continuing to share yourself with us and helping soothe our Soul's in the process. I would have stayed there forever too.

He's right where he should be. I don't understand why people think if you are not commercially available you'r not popular. I'm glad he's in the cool independent class.

Thank you for not "selling out" Amos.   Keep on being the very rare and real talent that you are and let others manage all the other stuff.   Be true to you.  Please and thank you.VERY beautiful song.

Amos has sais that this song is about his Grandmother passing away. It reminds me of my Dad who passed away in December 2017. So heartfelt, peaceful and yet painful at the same time. This is Amos at his best. All we can do is sit back and enjoy the emotion. Thank you Amos for another reminder of what life is all about.
