Paul really is a student of the game, he truly lives, breathes, eats, dreams, sweats, and bleeds the wrestling industry. The way he still obsesses about it even after retiring, really reminds me of Kobe’s passion and obsession with Basketball.

HHH is very good at business and working relationships. He probably did feel genuine happiness for Cody winning, but I think he also realized that Cody was someone worth having a friendly workable relationship with since he was likely to become more and more of a star.

Even critics of HHH have to admit, the guy has a good eye for who is going to be a rising star and loved by the crowd. After all, he scouted and picked the Clique out early and made himself pretty indispensable to them (being a full time designated drive basically).

Now he took those skills and talents he honed and is using them more professionally and on a grander scale. And with his experience in the locker room and with business, he's actually a really good pick for the job.
