I'm excited to share this traditional STAR STITCH I found in my vintage pattern book handed down to me by my late Grandmother.

The STAR STITCH is great for knitting scarves, hats, blankets, sweaters and even knit neckties!

I really like the instructions to the left. It helps me get familiar with a pattern and how to read it.
It’s so lucky that she gave you that book! What a treasure !
Thank you for sharing with all of us

I love this pattern. You're the only video for it I could find. I do wish you did the entire row on video though, it'd make it easier to follow.

Very clear, and I had not seen this stitch, done this way, before. Thank you.

When I first learned this, it was supposedly called the "daisy stitch". But I have seen another stitch called the Daisy stitch, worked differently, and it actually looks like little daisies. I do love this stitch. And I love the way you have the knit pattern on the left so we can follow, and even help learn how to read the knitters language. Smart!

Thank you for sharing vintage patterns, what a privilege to have! BTW, including the pattern on the left hand side of screen is a great idea. This stitch [star stitch] seems a bit too complicated now ("pass stitch over..."), but I plan to revisit/learn it in the near future.  Subscriber, ~Sage

Seems daunting! So many new techniques, like year over. But I want to try!

Thank you sooo much for this video. I liked the idea of putting the knitting instructions at the side of the video. Also, I didn't really know how to read knitting instructions before so this helped me alot :)

Hi. I am a beginner knitter and really liked your videos. they made it easy to learn the stitches. Can i ask your recommendation as i want to make a scarf with this and another scarf with your bamboo stitches : how many stitches should i cast on for both the stitch pattern. Also what size needle and what size/type of yarn should i use for this stitch. Thanks very much

Do you need to add a stitch before starting your second series of 6 rows to make up for the two you knit together? I tried to just repeat the pattern and ended up with 2 stitches on my left needle at the end of row two.

So when you are done with the 6 rows do you do it over and over to make a blanket.? :( I'm learning how to knit and I'm so excited.!
