Legend Kareem Campbell Talks THPS & Terminal Takeover

Last month, Red Bull gave Kareem Campbell his boarding pass for the Terminal Takeover at Louisiana's MSY Airport. In today's video, Campbell and Red Bull pro Jake Wooten talk about the surreal experience of skating through a typically high-bust scenario with no strings attached.

The Famous Airport level. WHAT a time to be alive. Some of my happiest childhood moments was trickin through each level, finding the secret tapes and unlocking the Skate Videos for each Character (especially Kareem). As a young black kid, during those times we didn't really have much exposure to other brown skin faces in Action Sports. So for a lot of us Kareem was one of (if not THE first) familiar face for our people when it came to a predominantly white sport. His representation is what mademe stick to Skating, and thats a whole factt. I can say with a whole heart that HE is my favorite athlete of all time because of that influence on my youth, the direction of my artistry, and the inspiration it gave me. Such solid memories came from this era, I can hear the flute intro followed by that hook "So whatchu looking for some action, you make it happen, when yu ridin' wit City right nowwww. I wrote a whole flow to that and told myself "One Day Imma get Kareems permission to remix this joint". Now its 2022 and Im feeling the vibes all over again just seeing this video. Citys

I was like 6 years old when I played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater for the first time. I fell in love with Kareem Campbell because I thought his clothes were cool. He was also the first black skater I ever had the pleasure of seeing on a skateboard. I love how skateboarding has united people from different backgrounds and walks of life. Kareem is an absolute legend.
