7th grade summer school, I had to take a person from history and compare him to Odysseus as part of a report and I chose some weird guy named Hannibal, and my love for history began. Scipio falls from his horse and his 17 yo son rushes out in the battlefield and saves his fathers life, the son eventually becomes Scipio Africanus, the man who defeats Hannibal.

What is missing was the terrain. From Scipio view. He anchored his flanks on two valleys. But the Numidian went around the terrain using the stump of a large hill to disguise their movements so that from the roman perspective. They flew over their lines and ended up behind them.

Fighting directly the Roman army would have left them no chance of survival.
He was smart and vicious.
We learned a lot from him.
