I love Jackson, but I especially love the decision they made to explain him leaving the show. It would have been much safer to hand wave his absence with him joining IA and thus transferring stations. Yet they made the bold decision to kill him off instead. I applaude the writers for that, especially how they used it to build Grey's and Lucy's characters.

I think it would be really cool if there was an episode where it's relatively quiet and nothing crazy or dramatic going on and just shows the main characters day as they prep for something and in the end they're having a private memorial for Jackson.
Think Avatar the Last Airbender the episode Tales of Ba Sing Se the Iroh part.

What happened to Jackson was basically there was these people that son got shot so they kidnapped Lopez injection but Jackson refused to get into the car so then he got shot in the back with a 44 magnum and he died my favorite character I cried myself

I'm so sad that Jackson died, but in my opinion, the actor timed it very good. I only watched the following season and then stopped, because there were too many things overlooked where there was clear misuse of police force and Lucy's character went done. She started on a moral ground, but now. It's sad. But Jackson is the character I loved most, then Thalia, then Grey and then Nolan.
