Exploring Kathmandu Durbar Square in Nepal🇳🇵

In today's video, I head down over to Durbar Square in the morning to look for some food. I start out by paying the entrance fee to Durbar Square and then visiting a smoothie shop and getting a smoothie. After, I do some shopping for a local Nepali shirt from a nice vendor. Then I visit a cafe to try some delicious Keema Noodles. After the meal, I meet a local man who sells me a flute and then we have tea together. From there, he shows me where I can locate the government office to extend my Durbar Square pass. After I departed from this guy, another guy approached me and would not stop insisting on showing me around even when I continued to be very polite with him. Aside form the intense moments with him, it was an amazing time down in the beautiful Durbar Square.

Hey, just wanted to clarify that the taxi driver was telling the truth, the road you took on foot actually leads to ASON bazar. The adjacent road goes straight to Thamel but is one way which he did try to explain.

Love how you interact with the locals ❤
Looking forward to the next video!

the thing is that Durbar square is such a central place, that as a foreigner you always have to go around it just to reach the other places

@38:54, he was saying in Hindi "He is friend, I have to give him back, how much does it cost for two rings? I will later pay you ?" May be he thought he took a lot from you and melted after you gave him 200 tips and wanted to give you back smthg. But you misinterpreted and thought he was selling you those rings.😂😂And, that guide didn't know anything about personal space though he seemed like he wanted to give you some information about that place later for free. After that, the taxi guy was being honest but it seemed you couldn't trust anyone. He meant to say he couldn't go directly back from Durbar Square to Thamel from the same road (the road you were walking other days from Thamel to Durbar square) as it is one way and had to make a round so it costs a little more i.e. 300. You said 250, so he said i would drop you near the temple for 250. Later, you didn't have 250 change and only paid 235. So, that's the case.🙏

Great Nepali shirt.. Nice flute guy I felt he wanted to give you the ring as a gift.. As I read also one comment below wrote a translation what this guy was saying when he wanted to give you the ring free ... But this tourist guide was so insisting .. you were so kind & patient with him .. In general every country at touristic places you find the good & some scammers... Beautiful historical places .. Yummy noodles ..

When you meet new people in nepal don't say "Namaste bhai"
Instead of that you can say "Namaste dai" or just "Namaste"

I think there was a little bit misunderstanding... I don't know what exactly the flute guy was trying to do but he said in hindi "how much do you want for this ring... i will pay so i could give to my friend" to the stall keeper. Perhaps you thought he's tryna force you to buy?..
I have seen the guy in some other vlogs too and he was kind enough to show you the way and offer tea.

Anyways, please try to stay positive and enjoy like you always do 👍

I once tried to visit USA and I had applied for a visa and it cost me $160 just to apply and I didnt even get the visa. So the ~$7 ticket you had paid for is a legal fee for all the tourists that travel to the Dubar square.
