As someone who has worked in public relations in television and the field of music entertainment for over 30 years, I will emphatically state that Lisa has hurt Usman's career immensely. He must distance himself from her if he stands any chance of becoming a successful artist. When his "15 Minutes" are up (and it is coming), he must have the "stuff" to be competitive in a very tough market. As it is, although he is charming, the fact is that he is not exactly remarkable in his talent and his music is dreadfully over-produced. He appears to be a very nice man, but he has little chance of being a contender in the American rap/hip hop scene in America. He also doesn't have much likelihood of coming here on a visa due to the U.S. government's attitude toward Nigerian/American marriages...let alone Lisa's spotty legal background, which is questionable at best. The day she used the "n" word was her (and Usman's) undoing, let alone all of her detrimental effects on his career trying to lord over his decisionmaking. IMO, this woman is vile -- all media outlets need to stop giving her the opportunity to promote herself. I urge interviewers to boycott this racist bully. She is either mentally ill or deluded (or both) if she thinks she is someone to be celebrated. TLC needs to wake up and take a stand and make a definitive statement that not only do they not endorse Lisa but that she will never have another opportunity to appear on their network. Otherwise, the public outcry will be fierce and furious. The way to send a message to TLC is to contact the advertisers and implore them to pull their ad dollars or they will be seen as endorsing Lisa's hate rhetoric and offensive slurs. It worked for MTV when Jenelle Evans' dog was killed by her husband. Jenelle was fired. The public does have power -- they just have to understand how to direct it effectively. Hit the network in their pockets.
