SYDNEY HARBOUR AUSTRALIA / Coastal Oil Painting / CHUNKY tonal values and atmospheric perspective!

Today I'm tackling the mesmerising and dramatic subject matter of one of the most beautiful harbours in the world, Sydney Harbour, Australia!
I'll be using impasto oil paint, brushes and palette knifes. The aim is to capture the aeriel and atmospheric perspective through the use of tonal values, colours and form.

Everything is great, especially the fact that you immediately guess the color scheme of the background and foreground of the picture, the color ratio, especially in shadow and half-shadow places. I especially like looking for color on the shore of the ocean or a small lake.

I watched the whole video! Richard, I just was completely mesmerized watching you paint! No one can use a palette knife like you. I think the painting turned out fantastic! I have a relative that lived in Australia for awhile and I am definitely going to send them this video to watch.
