1st heard this song at 17 when my uncle picked me up from a 2 week vacation.

I was "mad ready" to go home (I loved home). This song came on the car radio and I was like "dam, this is the coolest bass I ever heard".

My uncle was driving and I'm listening to the bass and then the lyrics. I'm like "who is this dude singing? Who is this chic (I already knew who teena was from other songs)?"

Lyrics, vocals, bass, chic, and I was like:
"Look at him!"
"Listen to this!?"
"Oh my God, my uncle is the coolest MF alive!"
Every time I hear this song I think of him, with his old ass!
