Thanks - this really helped. Although I would probably rather compare porphyria's lover with farmer's bride due to both being set around similar times and also because in both poems the women are never given a 'voice'. We never really hear their thoughts and it is all from the male perspective. You can also compare the similar titles and how they are inverted.

I actually feel like deciding which poem to compare is going to be the toughest part because you have over 100 ways of going about it when deciding, then a 100 things the question could be based on!

I'd compare porphyrias lover (or farmers bride) and sonnet 29 because they both reference obsessive love but thw diffrenxe is that speaker in sonnet 29 gets over it and reconciles with their feeling whilst porphyrias lover acts on their obession ans then justifies it

I would honestly compare farmers bride and prophyrkas lover as there is so much to talk about, they r both obsessesive and view their spouse as an object you can talk abt the imagery used and how the girl in farmers bride is referred to as baby animals to emphasise and comvey her innocence and vulnerability against her husband ectect
