It's funny you say that about cover artists. That is exactly what Ado is doing here. Unravel is originally a song by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure.

What i love the most about her live performances is that she doesn't just sing the studio version like many artists do. Her singing in live shows isn't perfect wich i love to hear. Hearing her voice do things she probably didn't mean to makes it more authentic and fun to listen to. Almost every show i was live at or watched the recording of was playback and noticeable at that. It just doesn't feel as authentic as her shows or shows from electric callboy

"Performance art" is putting perfectly and I love that. It really feels like the song is taking you on a journey, and imparting a multitude of emotions like art is supposed to do, despite me not even speaking the language. Props to Ado for being able to do all that, amazing skill.

Just to let you know she is going to be going on tour worldwide starting Late April of next year. She also just released a live video of her performing in the largest stadium in Japan around a week ago which you should react to.

Japanese try to include everything about other countries.
This doesn't seem to be limited to music. For example, foods, paintings, manga, martial arts, religions and myths, and even languages.
Those people greedily throw all of these things into the pot and try to make an incomprehensible soup.
As the soup is boiled down, it becomes diverse, high-volt, and packed with everything, highly compressed.
Various essences seep out from it, but in the end something transparent and mysterious is produced at its core.
