This band is almost completely unknown and it pisses me off because they are some of the best artists of this decade. I had the complete pleasure of seeing them and they are amazing great music and great live band. So underrated

Is this song about falling in love and then someone or something takes it away frm you completely. and it will never be the same again no matter how hard you try? The only thing to do is move on because there are plenty of other fish in the sea. I love this video. That kid is hilarious with the spin move after he takes the fish

Basement is definitely my favorite band of all time. I remember listening to their song “Covet” in December of 2014, back when I was in the 7th grade and 12 years old. A very impressionable age. And what an impression that song left on me.

Shortly after listening to it I discovered “Whole” on a YouTube video, which drove me to hear all of Basement’s catalog. To this day, after 5 years, I can still sing pretty much any lyric from Basement’s 2010 - 2016 catalog lmao (I’m not too found of Beside Myself).

This band has done so much for me. I’ve seen them four times now over the span of 4 years, from 2016 at their Boston headliner for the Promise Everything American tour, to their show last year in Boston, once again, for their joint headlining show with Nothing (Fiddlehead was also there!)

This song and the rest of their new record gives me a real strong sense of nostalgia. It's got an early 2000s alternative-rock, almost Smashing Pumpkins-esque kind of sound. Seriously impressed with these guys.
