David Lloyd Membership Cost

There are a large number of pricing options at David Lloyd Clubs, and it can get a bit confusing.

You can also join on an annual, 12-month basis, or stick with a more flexible 3-month contract.

Diamond membership at David Lloyd gives you access to all amenities at all locations, at any time. Platinum gives you access to all amenities, but only at your home club. Plus and Club memberships restrict your amenity access to different degrees.

Platinum membership at David LLoyd gyms will cost somewhere between 94 pounds and 129 pounds per month.

Lesser membership tiers will steadily bring the price down, as will going with the annual membership as opposed to the flexible plan.

You can also get a membership for children under 18 to use the kids club and other services. The younger the child, the cheaper the monthly fee.

Your best bet is to inquire at your local David Lloyd to get the best and most current deal.

David Lloyd Clubs Equipment, Features & Amenities

A David Lloyd membership can be quite expensive, depending on your plan, especially in comparison to more budget-friendly gyms with fewer amenities.

So what does that hefty fee actually get you?

---
Equipment

Each David Lloyd gym features a large free weights area as a well as a fully equipped functional training zone.

There’s also a spacious cardio training area that is packed with the latest state of the art, low impact cardio training gear.

The free weight area provides you with an extensive range of barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, power racks and resistance machines to meet the needs of even the most advanced weight lifters.

For beginners to strength training there is also an impressive range of popular resistance machines.

The functional training area provides you with the latest functional training gear including weight sleds, battle ropes, TRX straps, and plyo boxes.

---
Group Fitness

Group Fitness Classes are a highlight of the David Lloyd club experience, included with all membership plans.

Some of the most popular classes include HIIT Cardio, Yoga, Pilates, Aqua Fitness, Outdoor Fitness, and Blaze Rebels — a high-intensity interval training class for the whole family.

---
Pools/Saunas

David Lloyd Clubs typically have both indoor and outdoor pools, so you can swim all year round, regardless of the weather.

Most clubs also have special shallow splash pools and are attended by trained lifeguards. These are great for the kids, and a good reason to get them their own memberships.

After spending time in the pool, you can go directly into the state of the art spa facilities, complete with saunas, steam rooms, and whirlpools.

---
Childcare

David Lloyd is a family oriented gym, which means they provide plenty of services for the kiddos.

These include coaching in tennis, racquetball, and other sports, special play areas, and even full child care services.

From Baby Club and Tots Playtime, kids of all ages can be cared for by trained professionals while you work up a sweat. They’ll probably be sad to leave when your workout is over, that’s how good David Lloyd’s reputation is when it comes to child care.

There’s no fee for child care at David Lloyd, but your child will have to have a membership to the club.

David Lloyd gyms are among the most popular high-end health clubs in the UK and Europe.

If you can afford them, these gyms offer a paradise of pleasure, indulgence, and fitness training for all members of the family.

The excellent childcare and kid-oriented fitness and enrichment programs are truly unmatched almost anywhere in the world.

But if the high fees are giving you sticker shock, there are plenty of more affordable places to workout if you don’t mind giving up the spa and a few other amenities.

Take a tour and see for yourself!

I am utterly disappointed with the service received at the DL Aspley, Nottingham branch reception. The behavior of the staff, especially an older gentleman, was unprofessional and discourteous, significantly detracting from the expected standard of customer service. Such conduct is unacceptable and has deeply marred my perception of the establishment.

Basically it's a rip off and the equipment in David Lloyd isn't as good as the equipment I use in my much cheaper gym. The only reason I'd join is because I have a young family and it's a good option for us.
