The world's first land-based commercial small nuclear reactor Linglong No. 1 started installation

Recently, the world's first land-based commercial modular small reactor "Linglong No. 1" nuclear island installation project in Changjiang, Hainan officially started. The project implemented this time is a sub-item for the installation of pipe supports and hangers in the reactor building, which is the infrastructure connecting the nuclear island and the conventional island.

"Linglong No. 1" is a multi-functional modular small pressurized water reactor developed by CNNC with independent intellectual property rights. It is also the world's first land-based commercial modular small reactor. The nuclear island where the installation project started this time is the core of the entire nuclear power plant. In the future, major equipment such as pressure vessels and steam generators of the nuclear power plant will be installed in the nuclear island.

The "Linglong No. 1" demonstration project started construction on July 13, 2021, with a planned total construction period of 58 months. The power of each "Linglong No. 1" unit is 125,000 kilowatts, and the annual power generation capacity can reach 1 billion kWh after completion.
近日，位于海南昌江的全球首个陆上商用模块化小型反应堆“玲龙一号”核岛安装工程正式开工。本次实施的项目为反应堆厂房管道支吊架安装子项，是连接核岛、常规岛的基础设施。

　　“玲龙一号”是由中核集团研发并具有自主知识产权的多功能模块化小型压水堆，也是全球首个开工的陆上商用模块化小堆。此次开始安装工程的核岛，是整个核电站的核心，后续，核电站的压力容器、蒸汽发生器等主要设备都将在核岛内进行安装。

　　“玲龙一号”示范工程于2021年7月13日开工建设，计划总工期58个月。每台“玲龙一号”机组功率为12.5万千瓦，建成后年发电量可达10亿度。
