Indian Damaru Twist Drum (Sound Demo)
Показать описание
The Indian damaru twist drum is a colourful Tibetan musical instrument that is played by twisting the wrist back and forth. The percussion instrument is typically used by Buddhists to protect them from evil. It originated during the 18th century and is still popular now.
This traditional drum is also known as the Damru or damaroo and is said to provide many benefits such as providing the holder with strength and courage. It is made from solid wood and goats skin hide in the shape of an hour glass and is similar to the traditional Dholak drum but is much smaller in size. I hope you enjoy the sounds of the Indian damaru, it makes a great gift for a child or for anyone who enjoys world music.
