I like both because it gives you inside of each person perspective.. like the first one shows us how the unseen viewed it an this second shows us how the seen viewed it … very interesting…

I'd rate them as being about the same. The first film was more scary and atmospheric, but the second film plays out in a more believable way. Barcelona is good in places and a little boring in others, but feels more steady in terms of standard than the first film. Its never fantastic and never awful. The first film started very well, stayed good for a while, but from the river scenes onwards, was absolute crap. I also thought the acting in Barcelona was better than in the first. So all in all, two films that felt very different but worked out as being about the same standard. Decent but not great films, with some good ideas.

*Both movies were mediocre* the only part that really interested me in the second movie was when he meets the other “Seer” and he states “They’re aliens” and his whole belief system is challenged and he says “No brother they’re angels” if the movie had kept that quality of writing - it would’ve been great.

Honestly I feel like we watched two different “Bird Box Barcelona’s”, I had issues with the first one because it was very hyped up and turned out to be very disappointing. In the first one other than the twist of the seer’s it was predictable on every aspect which took away from any tension the movie could have had honestly. However the second installment really threw me for a twist as I went in thinking screw it let’s see if this next blind walk through a city would be different and then realizing the main character was a seer instantly had me involved. It brought a completely different view to the world they lived in now, like how they left the bunker not mainly to find the girl’s mother but because in the end they would starve down there no matter what and the castle offered them their only redemption. It also showed that the seers were not immune only driven mad by what they had seen hence the cults that had built up over the years trying to “Save” the lost sheep by showing them their saviors which always manifested as their loved ones. I also don’t believe he was haunted by his daughter I believe that the creatures were talking to him in the form of his daughter and it was shown as the more frustrated she got with him the more distorted and demanding she became however that’s completely up for debate since I could see both sides. Finally the main characters acting and journey from complete insanity back to sanity in whatever way he could achieve it was just amazing. I truly had no idea exactly who was going to make it in the end and was on the edge of my seat the whole movie. I felt the suspense was delivered based on the fact that you could never truly feel out if he was still lost in his madness or if he was starting to see the truth. Not until he chose to save Sophie did you realize he had finally seen the truth. Also I see jumping into a moving cart that moves in a pattern and one you can predict way more doable than surviving white water rapids blind folded. The second movie blew me out of the water in almost every way where as I felt disappointed rather upset with the first one and how overhyped it was. Ok now I’m done.

I'm entertained equally to both. Both represent their own culture, views, and tradition. I hope Bird box Africa, Asia (could specify North which could be South Korea/Japan/China, South which could be India, South East Asia which could be Thailand/Vietnam/Singapore/Philippines), Asia Australia would come next!! And more from the Americas which could be Brazil/Colombia/Mexico and also more from Europe especially Nordic Countries or UK.

I love the first one because it has intense plot and thrilling but Bird box Barcelona is too predictable

Barcelona was a really good movie they had a different point of view from the first one with the (Seers) the build up was fantastic and audio with the movie on point and the suspense was awesome. The different languages used were very clever for this plot. I saw both and give them both 9.5 in my opinion keep it up with these movies will definitely see one from Tokyo or Africa.
