Rosalind Franklin is an English female scientist. She was born on July 25, 1920 in London, England.
She was a Chemist and an X-ray crystallographer. She has a cruicial contribution to the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA. She applied X-ray diffraction methods to study of DNA.
She also contributed insights to the structure of viruses, helping to lay the foundation for the field of structural virology.
Franklin's involvement to cutting edge DNA research was halted by her untimely death of cancer in 1958.
