Europe’s best ever golfer knows what he’s talking about. Nick seems a very good teacher .

Faldo seems like a pretty good instructor. Not overly technical at all. Quick and to the point.

Favourite player is Sir Nick all day remember him from my Weetabix open days as a junior simple and powerful swing

I love how he has real ideas that work vs all the tech garbage, or motions with the hips and set ups that throw you off. I would indeed take lessons with Nick Faldo,

I think what you do AFTER you hit the ball is extremely important BECAUSE your follow through gives you a very good idea of what you did right or wrong BEFORE you hit the ball.

A properly executed Vardon/Interlaced grip is vital for getting the hands to function together like the hinge on a door when turning over the club in the finish. The key feature of a properly executed Vardon grip is the pad of the trail (right) hand being high up over the top of the base of the lead thumb. Most recreational golfer put the trail hand on too low or too underhanded which makes it feels more powerful in the downswing but inhibits turning over in the finish and allowing the club force to pull the club trail arm out to the target instead of whipping around to the left and bending elbows.

The trick for getting a good grip is to first ground and align the club with lead hand but then raise it until shaft is vertical to put on the trail hand, keeping elbows bent and tucked in to body. Up in the air like that it is very easy to get the trail thumb pad up over the lead thumb. When lowered by bending at hips and letting club mass pull arms straight and hang down the forearms counter-rotate against each other creating a tight V arm triangle. That counter-rotation also presses the pad of the trail thumb tightly over the lead one and creates a reflexive “lobster claw” pincher action between thumbs and index finger which is the key to controlling the club without any conscious tightening of finger muscles. Let club hang down feeling its weight and turn it over forward and back. If the grip is executed properly the club will turn over 180° without moving the hands in or out from the body and ball. When you swing the club in the actual swing it will feel like it is on rails because it starts and stays in balance on both the backswing and follow-through swing arc.

I’ve had the hardest time with the follow through. Lately I have been posing but I was just hitting the ball prior. This definitely helps!

Great perspective. I know a guy who is obsessed with his back swing. He hits 100's of balls at a time and after playing with him for years, he still sprays them left, right, anywhere....

I won my match play against a much better player using this tip Nick. I held my pose for about ten seconds each time and it wound him up so much he became quite angry and lost his rhythm. 😁

Some of the worst camera work ever seen. You have a legend showing us how to follow through and all we saw were his torso and hands ha.
Great job 👍😃

Very good video, like solving a crime[the crime of hitting bad golf balls] working backwards, would like to watch a video of reverse theory starting from the point of where the ball lands or finished, back threw the flight, and then giving an explanation as to how and why the ball reacted as it did, could be interesting.

Nick you need someone who can actually use a camera. Worst framing I've ever seen. Always framing you in wrong place at wrong time.

A great finish is far more important than a a good backswing.
