The best sports manga ever, you have to read it ma man

Slam Dunk is a manga written and illustrated by Takehiko Inoue, author of both Real and Vagabond
In Japan there's a before and an after Slam Dunk. Before this manga came out, basketball was non-existant in Japan, after checking out this manga a lot of people started playing the sport and even started following the NBA
It's a phenomenal spokon series with a great cast of characters. I really recommend checking out the manga since the anime stops before the final arc of the manga, which is the best arc too
We need that Brotherhood treatment for this! Maybe one

This manga and the story behind the author is brilliant. The passion of one man for basketball alone made a sport that was almost dying off nationwide to rise to unprecedented levels.

Slam Dunk is an iconic sports anime masterpiece! Please react to the slam dunk anime! Great story, characters development, and most of all...it's hilarious, there were times were I almost couldn't breathe from laughing so hard X'D It is extremely well known and iconic in most parts of the world even Latin America, and Middle East (parts of Europe and of course Asia) except US and UK for some weird reason.

Slam Dunk is awesome. The manga is better, but the anime is really good too (shame they didn't cover the last arc of the manga). While watching/reading it you can feel Takehiko Inoue's love for the sport. Comedy is well made. It's one of the best sports series ever made, one of the big of Shonen Jump from the 90s.
