Nighthawk is my fave exotic and I've read the lore tab a number of times. Coincidentally, I ran a Luna and Ghorn together a lit in D1 so I like to think that this lore tab is about me.

A Guardian being angered by Taken Psions endlessly splitting is very relatable. However, Riskrunner* says, 'Hello'.

*This can be replaced with any other Exotic, or Legendary weapon, that has an absurdly strong mobbing potential. Seriously, I've decimated whole mobs of Taken Psions with weapons like the Lorenz Driver and the Trinity Ghoul.

Contraverse holds have pretty cool lore. A warlock realizes he can use himself from other universes as batteries and the others realize that too so its a race for who can make it and channel the others first

You should see what Bungie did with the Graviton Lance lore I found it hilarious

Graviton Lance lore:
Think of space-time as a tapestry on a loom. This weapon is the needle.
"So wait, that thing you found does… what?"
"It fires black holes."
"No it doesn't."
"Oh yeah. It does. Actual, tiny, bullet-sized black holes."
"Did you tell the others?"
"Only that I found some weird gun in some overgrown tunnel back on Old Chicago. And that my Ghost was all, "THIS is why we were led here…'"
"Yours talks that way too?"
"What do you think?"
"OK, OK, but the gun—are you going to tell them?"
"Yeah, definitely."

i really like sweet bussines' lore, even tho eva is not a guardian i like to imagine its her the one shooting it in the lore tab

Bungie seems to have a history with some explicit but funny things in the game.

One of my favourites had to be an unreleased exotic ship from d1 which had the flavour text “Don’t make us kick your ass” in Latin.

I love Skull of Dire Ahamkara's lore tab, a rambling, 4th-wall-disregarding Ahamkara talking to the player. Probably a very bad idea to put it on your head

Getaway artists lore goes back to when guardians were basically unkillable raiders
edit: which is pretty neat considering they were killing what they now protect

my favorite lore isn’t actually a weapon or armor exotic (though many of them have fantastic writing/stories) but actually either the arcstrider or stormcaller lore. Something abt them just speaks to me

One of my favorite exotic gear lores is the one for the Claws of Ahamkara on warlock.
