It’s interesting that they show Will Smith listening to Robin Williams speech for winning a special achievement award for playing the Genie at 1:35, and now Will Smith will be playing the Genie in Disney’s live-action remake of Aladdin.

Goodbye Mork from Ork, goodbye Genie, goodbye Mrs. Doubtfire, Mr. Keating, Adrian Cronauer, Peter Pan, and on and on and on... The irony of him receiving this award for his role in Aladdin as the iconic genie and the only actor they show in the audience was Will Smith who would ultimately almost 30 years later play the part just a few years after Robin's death.
He was so talented and one of a kind. The world will never see another like him again. A true genius of comedy
