Boris Johnson claims Putin in ‘total panic’ about prospect of pro democracy Moscow uprising

Vladimir Putin is in "a total panic" about a revolution in Moscow, which is why he is trying "so brutally to snuff out the flame of freedom in Ukraine", Boris Johnson says.

Condemning the "vicious and a barbarian attack on innocent civilians", the prime minister drew a direct comparison with the actions of the Nazis under Adolf Hitler in the 1940s.

He also warned the Russian president would not stop at Ukraine and a Kremlin victory would usher in the "beginning of a new age of intimidation across the whole of eastern Europe" and give "the green light for autocrats everywhere".

The Conservative leader issued the warning during a typically forthright, bombastic speech to his party's spring conference in Blackpool, watched by the Ukrainian ambassador to the UK, Vadym Prystaiko.

While he drew plenty of cheers and applause from those in attendance, an attempt to compare the war in Ukraine to Britons voting to leave the EU has been criticised.

He said during his speech that it is the "instinct of the people of this country, like the people of Ukraine, to choose freedom", with the Brexit vote a "famous recent example".

The price of oil has returned to normal levels, yet the over inflated tax on our goods has not. You say we are fighting for freedom, yet the government have systematically broken down our freedoms over the last 10 years. When the ordinary average people of the west are priced out of anything, the majority of the money is in tax revenue and not in the wholesale cost of goods.
Why does it take a crisis in order for the government to actually listen

When you watch Oliver Stone's movie on Ukraine you understand perfectly why he invaded. Boris is playing on people's ignorance on recent history to spew nonsense.

I don’t think Putin is in a panic mode, I believe Europe and rest of us are getting panic with the food prices and oil.

“Accommodations with tyranny”….. time stamp 2:41
I hope Boris Johnson and other world leaders echoed this sentiment to Justin Trudeau recently when they shared a podium broadcast from Downing Street.
Otherwise Boris’ words will be as empty as Trudeau’s speech decrying tyrannical authority from other governments while doing that very thing. The hardest part for Trudeau must have been, keeping a straight face throughout the delivery of that speech.
‘Oh the humanities’…. HYPOCRISY.
(-: <*> :-)

There's no bloody reason gas prices need to rise in the UK, except greedy suppliers. We don't use Russian gas.

Putin never gives up...he delegates...he still holds the Ace card which NATO and the US hates.
Boris holds Sainsbury's card !
Freedom and Democracy are unknown factors in Britain....COVID legislations and Mandatory laws proved that....many died needlessly and in loneliness....Boris forgets what he wants to forget....but loves to point the finger at others...sad but TRUE !!

When Boris said he admired Churchill I didn't realise until now that he meant the dog on the adverts. What a clown.
