Happy New Week!
In this week's Mmm, we continue working with "second force"--that resistance that naturally comes up when we set a goal to make changes, behavioral or internal. We set our goal, then all the false and old beliefs and patterns that need to go, surface to be dealt with and released. Don't sweep it back under the rug--that resistance is a gift, the opportunity to clear out faulty, old patterns!
A friend of mine calls them "not-i's": those thoughts and emotions that arise with criticizing content and negative emotions. During our meditation time, we practice not engaging with those by remaining in our center, being present with our belly breath, and allowing the fleeting thoughts to dissipate. It take practice, but our journey is about movement, not arriving.
