I have that same tool and IMO it sucks!! A shovel cuts wayy better than that dag ol thing!! The metal/tip is really dull & a bit thick. Where as a regular rounded shovel is much thinner & sharper. I'm returning mine.

Tried this the other day with a standard cut of sod in my back yard… it doesn’t roll… at all. I’m in north central Texas and have a good amount of clay. My Bermuda roots go down I think bout 5-6 inches. Made it a pain to cut them all to keep the grass intact. (Which it didn’t)

Um, so...care to explain how it just rolled up like that? Healthy grass has, hmmm lemme see, oh yeah... deep roots - they would pull away. Hence the need for a sod cutter (not shown) such as that used by sod farms. Either way, grass isn't a wall to wall carpet, it can't roll up with nothing beneath (again, roots)

So. Wondering how he rolled it up so easily? Doesn't grass have roots? I've never experienced removing grass without cutting the roots while rolling it. Unless I used a sod cutting machine.

Edit: Ahh I see, your nxt short vid shows u using a sod cutter. NOW. it makes sense lol.
