For anyone that got an error after logging out that said (FirebaseError): Missing or insufficient permission
try to add firebase.logout() after firebase.auth().signOut() in your redux authAction.

You actually can and should allow creating users only to authenticated users (who got an uid), because they auth first, then user's document gets created.

Nice video, that simulator makes things easy and also easy to understand rules. As an exception, I needed to add - allow write: if request.auth != null - in that way, requests... -did not work anymore?

I am having all sort of prob after applying the rules. Old project data is not displayed, I only get the notification tab. can only see new project data if added.

Hi guys I'm trying to show how made the project and displaying his NAME and EMAIL, but when I try to pass the id of the users from the authorid of the project, it send me an ERROR.
How i can fix it?
i used firestoreConnect for connect the collection of users, and in the mapStateProps i returned author: it say an ERROR LIKE ' cannot read property 'eudbweidenwdWEdwen' of undefine'

What about that rule with uid=userID, if someone will steal others id? Is that all secured by the jwt token?

so for ex. in projects colletion, we don`t have an allow create rule, like we do for users collection. this means that anyone can create a new project document or is create the same as write? thanks
