Mermaid bootcamp begins now!

Join Christina Wilson on her debut adventure as she dons a mermaid tail to undergo a mermaid transformation! People may think becoming a little mermaid is all fun and games... but before Christina can call herself a real life mermaid she'll need to learn how to SAVE a LIFE!

We challenge Christina to perfect her mermaid swimming so she can learn how to save someone who's drowning... only then can she call herself a real mermaid!

Are mermaids real? Can mermaids breathe underwater? Will Christina sink or swim?! It's time to go under the sea and find out!

I think you should mention how you equalize your ear pressure as you dive down up to 20 feet and equalize coming up to the surface. That is an important part of free-diving. If you don't equalize the ear pressure barotrauma or blackout can occur. And never dive alone. Congrats on PADI mermaid certification!!! You look fabulous!!!

I love Christina as a biologist and her free diving training as a Mermaid.

Looking forward to future episodes featuring Christina.

I miss the old videos where coyote would jump off docks for snapping turtles

Great video, Christina's narration was done really well, too! I have an insane fear of the ocean, so there's no way I would get anywhere near it, but I still love watching videos about it for some reason.

This was a fascinating change for this channel. I always love the normal content this page posts but this was a fun change. Well done, Brave Wilderness.

The fictional mermaids would be drawn to ship wrecks and drag sailors to the bottom of the sea drowning them. And the sea water would pickle the meat for the mermaid's feast.

Mermaid's singing to lure ships with sailors came along later on. Likely this lore came from the Sirens. Sirens are not part fish like Mermaids they are part bird and are landbased creatures as their songs lure sailors to crash their ships upon the rocks of coastlines which is where the Sirens live.

Coyote I know that your worst fear is the fear of centipedes but your true worst fear is dressing up as a merman.

We use to put those plastic circle dive rings over our ankles and swam like mermaids in my neighbors pool. We also use to flip backwards into the pool, and none of our parents were worried about how we played.

I liked seeing all of the fish! Mythology is very interesting, I did like hearing about mermaids. Christina did a great job being a mermaid.
