Here’s a tip to pausing them: while the game is conpiling, quickly go into the menu and pause 3 of them, they will always be in and that helps reduce the audio problem

Showing how to use the debugger to improve performance was sooo helpful. I rarely leave comments. Sooo Thank you!

Really an excellent job and video here. Had horrendous audio/video stuttering but the pausing cleared it right up. Can't wait to try the 60fps version of it. Thanks tons!

You're the best! 60fps patch + stopping threads helped so much!

THE SETTINGS AND THE PAUSING THING STILL WORKS, I THANK YOU ! I REALLY HATE THE STUTTERING SOUNDS AND ANIMATION!

Though the frame rate still sucks, i can live with it! really i cant thank enough for the fix!
EDIT : my characters portrait or any member became something, different, like they got black blocks on the faces. Just saying.

For those of you wondering, This is what you do to make the cutscenes work, after the third thread, my cutscenes were at 30fps where as before they were at a measly 1fps
Edit: I paused 0, 1, 3

Thanks for the tip. BTW, the corrupted faces in dialog (and jaggy anime sequences) happen because of the upscale; it needs to be on native resolution to display them correctly.

Sooo despite setting the SPU threads to 2 or 3, the emulator is always using 6. And disabling half of them can improve framerate. Good to know.

for anyone else seeing this with an i5 7600k, pausing 2, 3, 4, and 5 fixed the stuttering completely for me

thanks dude it helped, i locked mine on 30fps because i know it would cause some issues but the only problem for me is the animated cutscenes stuttering so much because the fps hit below 29.98 fps

@BSoD Gaming Hello! I did this thread pausing trick of yours, and was getting MUCH better FPS rates even in spots where I got around 10 to 15 FPS, with the increase going as high as 20-25 in said areas (like in front of the school) and this is on a mobile i7-7700HQ Kaby Lake CPU that lacks TSX completely! And BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I was able to actually hit 60 FPS in a certain few spots (within the first dungeon mostly, and sometimes in the real world) . Also what I did alongside this OUTSIDE of RPCS3, was undervolt my CPU's core voltage offset down by -0.140 V in Intel XTU, and force turbo boost mode ON (as in locking it in the on position) with Throttle Stop. For the last hour and a half while playing Persona 5 on this emulator before this message was posted by me, I have never once gone above 80 degrees Celsius yet. The highest I've seen so far was 77. I can see the potential my laptop has now with running this emulator once it is fully optimized to run games at its full potential. It may be many years from now...but man just you wait till that day comes....I'm certainly excited for it.
