Does time really exist? Is time an illusion? This is the story of a timeless reality, where the past, present and the future coexist in harmony.

Theoretical physicist Julian Barbour has been studying the nature of time for over four decades. This extensive study made him question the passing of time, the very fabric that’s holding our reality together. According to him, yes, time is an illusion.

In this episode of Journal of Things (s2 e8), we are going to discuss the nature of time and even question its very existence, its spiritual, philosophical and scientific implications.

i tought about it this morning when i was depressed, if time is an illusion it means im already dead in reality. But im alive, so that means we cannot really die. Everyone who existed in a certain point in time must exist trough all its points without division. This could go even beyond to acess the points where we spent our lives but to the acess of all eternity. What really concerns me is how can we be trapped in such illusions which distorts our perception. If we could get rid of the influences of this specific reality over ourselves which trap us here and now, not being under the influences of forces such as gravity, time, position, which affect our bodies, we could acess these infinite realities.

This is an excellent explanation of a topic I’ve been wrestling with for a while to fully grasp and have watched many videos about. It’s just so difficult because it’s so counter intuitive and contradicts what we’ve been taught and we base our lives around the clock and the calendar. I still have trouble fully grasping the concept of there being “no time” but I want to understand reality even if it means shaking up old notions. Thank you.
