Well done Michael, loved this video, and nice to see you using the mountain topper radio, l was really impressed with the range of contacts made. Must get back on the air myself soon it's been far too long and so l am very rusty. Best 73 Steve M0ZSM

Amazing ! thanks a lot for the video, the video help me a lot to take a decision to buy a Lnr transceiver, the radio copy good and the floor noise is awesome for lot of of hours of operation without strees, you are very lucky because get nice weather and good propagation for testing, Thanks Michael and 73" from NP3TY

Hi Michael, thanks for the video. Where did you get the jack and cable that actually plugs into the power socket of the radio? Am I correct it's a 4x1.7mm jack & cable that you've put powerpole connectors on? Thanks

Great video. I noticed you called out the onboard clock on the mountain topper. Do you use the on board 3v coin cell battery to retain the time? Or do you set the time each time you turn it on? I noticed there is a warning on the LNR page about the 3v battery affecting the microprocessor, that is scaring me a bit and wondered if people with these radios think this is something to even worry about. 73s N1XF

Hello Michael,
Super nice qrp-video.
I intend also to buy a 10mtr-pole, both sotabeams as dx-wire seems to have the same 17 segments mini-pole. I have read that the top can break by hanging a dipole antenna on top of the 17e segment. How many of the 17 segments do you take away for use with your EFHW, or dipole-antenna?

The end fed seems to work well. As a vertical presumably? What if anything are you using as counterpoise? Or are you able to get away with less counterpoise being half wave?

I don't get it, a large enough LCD yet the characters so small and so little of it's surface area used to show information, a pity.
73, good DX

I am considering an LNR mountain topper, but have a quick question regarding your battery Michael. That looks like a 3s LiPo and although nominally 11.1v they can be more than 12v when fully charged. Given the dire(!) warnings about not using more than 12v, have you had any problems?

I'd use a mountain topper qrp radio and ride a dirt bike
