When I was in highschool and first watched this, I was mostly focused on the culinary competition aspect. As I went to college, I watched it again and get to appreciate how it involved art, culture, and health/medicine. Now that I'm in my 30s, I'm seeing it once more and examining the political undertones of this masterpiece. What a great story and set of actors to play the characters well!

Omg...This drama was like a disease... This became part of my childhood because back then, my Mom was obsessed with this show like mad, she would chase after it's new episode everynight and never miss a single rerun during the day, times when I was watching my cartoon or my dad was watching his show and when this show came on, she would beg us to let her watch as if there's no tomorrow. However it didn't stop there...When this show ended all it's broadcast, mom bought like the whole cd collection to re-watch from start and this drama was still the hottest topic among her friends years after...Crazy times!... I'm pretty sure this was every woman's favorite Korean drama, especially moms...
