We visited last week and we're in awe at some of these aircraft and the brave pilots that handled them.
Brilliant exhibition, we have some wonderful memories to take away with us. So much to see! we really needed more time, but we captured some great footage to look back on, and as my wife commented, you even get the scent of history! if you have ever dabbled with old engines or machinery you would understand. Thank you RAF museum.

Very worth a visit the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon London is.
My Dad & myself went there some years ago just after Christmas when it was fairly quiet & it was very fascinating as well as very interesting.
I loved every moment of it & even had lunch there as well, the cafe/restaurant is worth a visit if hungry or thirsty. Would certainly go there again!

Visited this museum two years ago (OK, not my first time TBH!). It is superb, and an essential place to visit.

This museum is an awesome celebration of aviation.
Also if you're into your model planes or want to visit an old school model shop there's an excellent place in the industrial estate next door to the museum called _Hannants_

1988 I visited England to meet my grandfather. I got to visit a local RAF base and there was a Spitfire on display. At first I was surprised at the size of it. In all of films, on tv and photos in books I took it to be bigger. Same for my first close up of an Me 109. I use to wonder why the range of the Spitfire was so short and I realized why. Still, I bet she was sweet to fly.

Totally confused so please help me. Expat in Texas, I used to visit Hendon and the IWM in the 80's, 90's and 00's
So what is this ? Has Hendon been replaced ? Aircraft moved, What is this and where ?
