Dr.Meter MS88 ( Peaktech TP8268) CHEAP-O Multimeter has alot to offer. Solid build, accurate and always on the ready.
Did I mention shielding! Its not perfect though. as with any Dr. you might want a second opinion!
A worthy 3 STARS!

It really helps! Thanks!

Is there a Doctor in the house? Yes there is..Dr Meter!! But he has a severe case of LED poisoning!! Omg I'm in NCV looking forward to the older equipment being given the stage..oh yeah..bring it on baby!! As always, an awesome presentation dear sir!!! 😁

Wow....what a fail on LED's and capacitance! Especially unfortunate as it had several good points. Many thanks for another great review, Darren!

It seems this was defective. What was the open probe voltage for that Diode check and cap test? and did you confirm it with a fresh battery? That would likely be a deal breaker for many folks.

it's rare to see a cheapo fails in led & capacitance test but superb at ncv, usually it's the other way around... build quality is great, if only Dr. Meter puts a DTM0660L variant inside this case, the performance would be awesome.

Interesting review. Given the input protection, I would be surprised if that meets CATIV 600V. Diode test was strange, wonder if there is a current limit on the test function, enough for a standard diode, but not for an LED.

Looking forward to the vintage stuffs!

Would you do a review on Cheap-o longevity?
Which one (Uni-t) has stood up to time?

Thank you sir for the review.. I like the brand name Dr. Meter👍 and it looks nice and smart.. But in performance it failed to grab our expectations 😔

Origin from Peak-Meter ms-88, I have this meter as Yugo My68

Darn. I thought this was going to be great for my bench. I mostly play with arduino and guitar pedals, so diode and transistor testing is very important. Bummed.

Hi Darren. Nice Video ! ! !
What do you think. The best, the most accurate, the most functional, the one that knows the most - what kind of multimeter is up to $ 14?
102?
113D? (21T)
404b?
Mustool MT108T
Оr maybe LOMVUM DM616?

I don’t think they knew where to spend the money.

Great vent this week. Tiny dark red or blue font on a black background is ridiculous. You can barely read it even in good lightning conditions. What is worse, this color coding hardly gives you any information. I only find it useful on manual ranging meters, when it groups multiple ranges together. That HOLDPEAK HP-760C being a great example of good color coding (and an LED is a cherry on top). But then we have something like ANENG SZ18 with its "rainbow" selector switch and you just wonder what were they thinking? Even though it has decent contrast and is probably readable, it looks like a carrousel (a merry-go-round).🤔

For that price and build quality, and its cat 3, , , youd expect true rms. There are plenty others that are for less.

A real shame for the Diode and Cap functionally (or lack of to be exact). Also weird that the price range is so all over the place but even for 35 bucks in it’s current state it is, in my opinion, not worth it. For this price there are much better alternatives.
