As a Taiwanese flutist, performing and promoting the music of composers from my home country is of particular interest to me. I have worked intensely on a transcription for flute and piano of Tyzen Hsiao’s Memories of Home, Op. 49 which was originally written for piano solo. I hope to use my performances of this transcription to introduce new audiences to Hsiao’s work.
